WebEx is a video conferencing and collaboration platform from the conglomerate Cisco that enables users to hold virtual meetings and training sessions. WebEx is also a frequently used platform in the banking and financial services sector.
WebEx is a product offered by a US company. The “Record meeting” function available in the interface therefore does not enable recording or archiving that complies with the regulations applicable in the EU.
With the MiFID Recorder, it is possible to create a link between WebEx and the archiving solution and, if required, to record advisory meetings in compliance with MiFID II and FinVermV. The recordings can then be retrieved as usual via the admin interface of the MiFID Recorder.
In addition to recording meetings, it is also possible to archive chat messages and files. In this case, the MiFID-Recorder archives and parameterizes the PDF files generated by WebEx.
